    A lot of people have asked me about Spirals coming out on vinyl so I’m thrilled it’s finally here!

    The physical properties of a vinyl record as an object have always been very important to me. My dad’s collection really influenced me musically growing up and shaped the music I love and write.

    300 hand-numbered, limited edition records will be available on 3rd March, but if you PRE-ORDER a copy now I’ll send it out early so you’ll be the first to get it. I'll sign the record and send it out with a personal note.

    The vinyl record comes with a previously unreleased BONUS track that’s not on the CD. My cover of the iconic song Hurt by Trent Reznor, most famously re-interpreted by Johnny Cash at the end of his life, was recorded during the album studio sessions with producer John Reynolds (Sinead O’Connor, Indigo Girls).

The songs on Spirals create a series of scenes, moments and moods. Some construct spaces of emotion, beauty and tenderness, but Scars makes you feel like you’ve just walked into a rowdy bar where two lovers are arguing like cats and dogs, but then kiss and make up. ;-)

Scars is a dysfunctional love song about the fine line between love and hate in relationships. Author Blakney Francis sums up the duality in the song: “There are all different sorts of love. It can even become hate… really, hate is just another kind of
caring.”

I love the humour in it. Also, how even after the endless rinse and repeat cycles of stormy emotion, there's still love there in the end.
